Last week, Debbie drew for 29 hours over 4 days at the
2015 Anime Expo in Los Angeles at the Hulu booth. Close to
100,000 people from all over the world attended this 24th
annual event to see and experience the latest and greatest
in manga, anime and Japanese culture. The people at Hulu
requested that Debbie draw anime-style caricatures to help
promote the wide selection of anime movies and TV shows that
they offer.
Debbie is a lifelong anime fan and even lived in Japan
for a while. She can even speak and read a bit in Japanese,
so she really was the perfect artist to draw and entertain the guests at this
annual fan expo. Using efficient coloring techniques to
render the anime-style faces, she was able to average 4-5 minutes per face. Subarashii!! :)
